Voltage Controlled Oscillator: High Performance CRO4187E-LF Features Excellent Phase Noise for Satellite Communications

Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new VCO model CRO4187E-LF. The CRO4187E-LF operates over the frequency range of 4187 to 4188 MHz while covering the band within a tuning range of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc. This unmatched VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -108dBc/Hz @ 10kHz offset while operating off a 8 Vdc supply and drawing 30 mA of current.
The RoHS compliant CRO4187E-LF is designed to deliver +3.5 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load and covers the frequency band with an average tuning gain of 6 MHz/V. This low noise VCO operates over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85ºC and features a typical second harmonic suppression of -15 dBc. The CRO4187E-LF comes in Z-COMM’s standard MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. and it is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
